What an incredible trip, with the best traveling companions ever! Every single one of the 12 days together was magical. Highlights: Our first dinner together on the rooftop terrace of our hotel with a view of the Acropolis. The overnight trip driving North of Athens to other worldly mystical Delphi and Meteora.
Crete - our 3 nights at our exclusive use Villa, with 4 separate homes and 4 swimming pools, with spectacular views, delicious meals at Plethora Suites. Our “Oh WoW!” guide at Knossos historic site and palace entertained and educated us. Truth, every one of our expert guides at every site we visited exceeded our expectations. From Crete we ferried on to Santorini, took in the spectacular vistas of blue domes and sea, and enjoyed a relaxing evening at a 5 star boutique hotel. Our final and favorite island was Naxos. We relaxed on a day long Catamaran tour, took a cooking class in the mountains, learned folk dance steps and danced in the vineyard. None of us wanted to leave and all of us want to return to Greece. There’s so much more to see and experience.

ITALY: NOTES FROM THE HEART OF ITALY MAY 2024 HOLIDAY:
Loved our lodgings. In Florence at Antica Torre Tornabuoni 1 and in Umbria at Villa Torre Santa Lucia. Wowed by visit to The Academy Museum to view the statue of David in person; for Tannis this was a 3rd viewing of this masterpiece. The tour of Perugia, the capitol of Umbria engaged us mind, body and spirit. There are layers of history to explore in Perugia: Etruscan to Roman to the present. Famed for chocolate production we consumed some of the best hand crafted delicacies we’ve ever tasted. And we learning a lot during our visits to the world famous weavers museum and and stained glass studio. We learned to cook 3 kinds of pasta - and ate it - along with many other delicious meals - enhanced by wine tastings. We had a very special private wine tasting at a vineyard in Umbria not usually opened to the public. Plus a wine tasting in a castle! With all the eating and drinking it’s a good thing we walked the winding streets of Florence and the hill towns of Tuscany and Umbria. Oh, and we did relax at the Villa, taking in spectacular sunsets over Lake Trasimeno. Expect future Italian holidays to include immersion time at Ville Torre Santa Lucia. It’s a very special place. PRIVATES AND DUOS BY APPOINTMENT. Privates: $95.00 a session. Discount if you purchase a series. Duos $100.00 for 2 students. Discount if you purchase a series.
